CHAT WITH A LIBRARIAN
How can we help?
To access any electronic resources from off-campus, you must LOGIN. If you are at any Clarkson campus, you will not be required to login.
You may be prompted to do this when you try to connect to resources, or you can do it before you search for resources, from the link above.
The Libraries can send in-print material from the Clarkson collection directly to you. Make the request through ILLiad.
Requested materials will be mailed to you via UPS with pre-paid return postage
This service is available only to Clarkson community members working and studying remotely and who do not have a Clarkson campus address in Potsdam.
Many libraries will extend borrowing privileges to outside community. Explore academic libraries in the Capital region to find one near you. You can contact the library directly to learn about use of their resources.
We suggest looking locally and at Clarkson's collections first, but if you are still not finding the material you need, you can search libraries worldwide by exploring WorldCat. You can then make an interlibrary loan request through ILLiad (there is a direct link to do this from WorldCat records).
Requested materials will be mailed to you via UPS with pre-paid return postage.
Please note that items obtained from other libraries generally have shorter lending periods than Clarkson Libraries allow. You must also account for shipping/delivery time.
The following links provide you with research tips to help get you started with the process of finding information for your research papers. Topics include how to narrow your search terms to find pertinent material, and the basics of boolean search strategy.
